Currency

The official currencies of the island are the Euro on the French side and the Netherlands Antilles Guilder on the Dutch side. Both sides of the island will accept US Dollars as well.

Voltage

The French side uses 220v (European) although some hotels and villas may offer 110v (North American). The Dutch side uses 110v. 

Airports

The island's main airport is Princess Juliana International (SXM) located in Simpson Bay on the Dutch side. All flights from Europe or North America will land here in addition to many inter-island flights. There is a very small aiport on the French side in Grand Case which caters exclusively to small planes coming or going from other French islands in the region.

Passports

Everyone seeking entry to St Martin/St Maarten MUST have a valid passport. Once on the island you will NOT be required to show identification to go from one side to the other.
